Background:

Positions and Duties:
Esquire of the White Rose (EsqWR)
Esquires are the entry-level of those recruited into the Order.  Their day-to-day duties involve much of the upkeep of arms and armour, to include things like cleaning stables and general labour.  During times the order is called to war, they are usually kept from the battlefield as much as possible due to their limited martial training.  While not nobles, Esquires are entitled to the protections and rights of High Justice.

Sergeant of the White Rose (SWR)
Sergeants are the second level of those recruited into the Order.  Their day-to-day duties are a mix of overseeing the Esquires and personal martial training to prepare them for knighthood.  During times of war, they are usually sent to serve as officers in the peasant levies, allowing their martial training to help fill in where able.  While not nobles, Sergeants are still entitled to the protections and rights of High Justice.

Knight/Dame, Order of the White Rose (K/DWR)
Knights are the third level of the Order, and are also the first true rank of nobility within the Order.  Any nobles brought into the Order are automatically brought in at this level.  The day-to-day responsibilities of Knights are to train the Sergeants and each other in the skills of the battlefield.  This rank is typically the most populous, and also tends to see the most time held of any single career.

Knight/Dame Lieutenant, Order of the White Rose (K/DLWR)
Veteran Knights whom have proven themselves in melees or battles may find themselves promoted to this rank.  They are in charge of overseeing a small group of Knights, usually between ten and twenty in number.

Knight/Dame Commander, Order of the White Rose (K/DCWR)
Knight Lieutenants that bring further distinction to their name though not only martial skill but prowess in command are typically promoted to this rank.  They will find themselves in charge of five to ten Knight Lieutenants.  Typically, this is the highest rank seen on the field of battle, though that may be changed as per the needs of the Order.

Knight/Dame Grand Cross, Order of the White Rose (K/DGCWR)
This position is the highest rank attainable in the Order without being elected to the ruling body.  Promotion to this rank is usually reserved for those no longer able to fight, and wounds from battle have seen people catapulted up to this position while bypassing the previous few.

Master of the Order of the White Rose (MWR)
The twelve Masters of the Order are the ruling body which governs the Twelve Chapers of the Order.  While all of these positions are life-held, only six of them are appointed by the Grand Master of the Order.  The other six are elected by each Chapter's Knights and higher.

Grand Master of the Order of the White Rose (GMWR)
The Grand Master is the leader of the Order, second only to the Ruling Sovereign.  This position as assigned to a person for life by the Ruling Sovereign, and there are only four ways to be removed: Abdication, Death, Treason, or Ascension to the Throne.
