ANZAC Biscuits

  • Sorry, I like adding any recipe, Redwall based or not. See below to find out what an ANZAC biscuit is if you don`t know already.

    Ingredients
    ANZAC Biscuit
    100 g butter
    1/2 C sugar
    1 T golden syrup
    3/4 C coconut
    3/4 C rolled oats
    3/4 C flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 T hot water

    Method
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Melt butter and golden syrup in a pot, then let cool. Mix flour, sugar, coconut and rolled oats together and add to pot, stirring really well. Dissolve baking soda in hot water and mix into pot. Place rounded tablespoons of mixture on lined baking tray. Press lightly with a fork and bake 15 mins until golden brown.

    History of biscuit:
In WW1 the Australian and New Zealand army worked together to fight. Their friends and wives worried about their nutrition, or something along those lines. The soldiers were sent hard ship biscuits to satisfy their hunger which were named Anzac biscuits.
