Litha watched him go with a faint smile flirting around her mouth, then turned and fell into Falmouth's arms. "Home at last, dearest…" She sighed, snuggling into her shoulder.
He chuckled and rubbed her back. "Come inside, Litha-my-love."
Litha nodded and followed him inside, turning to shut the door. She watched Jared out of sight before closing it with a contented sigh. Falmouth had two glasses of wine and a bowl of fruit on a tray, and he stood waiting for her.
"Night falls outside." Litha spoke softly.
"Yes. Even the Earth must have her rest before turning a new page."
~~~ So amazing to write with you, Jared! I don't think I have anything else to say for this story. Blessings, my friend.~~~
The young boy did have a point: it was Jared's obligation to forge, prepare, and present the crowns to the Whitedeath family when the time came. But how could he travel to his forge without this kid getting in the way? He knew about Platime's reputation as a child thief, and he didn't want him getting into his private stuff. Some of his parents? most treasured heirlooms were still kept in his house.
He silently but quickly formed a plan in his brain, then he stood up and put an arm around the short preteen.
"Hey, kid, I have an idea: why don't you come with me, and we'll go get the crowns together. You can carry one and I'll carry the other. We'll present them to the King and Queen, and we'll both get honorable praise for our teamwork! How about it?"
This wasn't really his plan, though: his plan was to ride with Platime in a carriage which would drop him off half a mile from his house, and then take the boy as far away as possible while Jared walked the rest of the way home. With that, Jared could avoid any unwanted theft in his own house while he was retrieving the crowns and delivering them to the royal couple. But the less Platime knew, the better.
"Come on, kid, let's go get those crowns. The sooner, the better! Follow me!"
Meanwhile, Melinda was having a hard time keeping her mind off of Jared, and she kept fidgeting in her seat, looking around the cathedral for any sign that her boyfriend had entered with the royal crowns. One of her friends grabbed her arm firmly but carefully, and reiterated Pentus' assurances that Jared would indeed be coming. He just needed more time.
God of: Order
Personality: He is very serious. He enjoys straight lines, numbers, chemicals, crystals, architecture, equations, machines, maps, measuring things, planning, and, to a degree, war. He isn’t like the god of war, he just likes the well ordered soldiers, the lines, the mass production of materials, fighting styles, not the killing itself. He requires his followers to be smart, inventive, serious, and above all, well organized. As a result, his disciples make some of the world’s best bureaucrats, generals, leaders, and architects. His disciples can come from any race, he doesn’t care who they are or were, but only what they will be.
Mortal Manifestation: Tall, well muscled, with a very average face, sort of like it were made from the combined features of everyone on the planet. He wears a grey military uniform, with grey boots, a grey cape, and a crown made from cyan crystal. He wears a broadsword made from crystal belted at his waist. He always has a frown on his face, he stands straight backed, and his step is always measured and the same.
Blessing: To get his blessing you have to be very smart, well organized, and they need to gain his favor (of course). His blessings include knowledge, quick thinking, a single boon(within reason) , or crystantium. Crystantium is a very special type of metal that grows like crystal in Pyrites realm. It is nearly indestructible and can be sharpened to the point that it can shear through anything. The only problem is that it takes centuries to grow even a tiny nugget, and it takes incomprehensible heat and time to shape it.
I'd have to agree with Gerns and Red. There is not really enough activity in that area to sustain another board to be put in.
Perhaps if we had a "bad guy/gal" or some kind a threat against the kingdom, it would help gain more activity in this area. Kariska was that threat, but no one really took is place when he left.
Maybe a descendant of a defeated enemy coming back to claim the throne as "rightfully their's" before the Whitedeaths "cheated" and defeated them …. or something like that.
Though in the end to settle the matter "Eselbrador don't want to deal with this guy and his crazy demands so they scrape together a bunch of undesirable folks from around the kingdom and give them to the prince so he can go claim his own kingdom [on a scrap of land, maybe an island, on the boarder of their kingdom]"
Getting it's own board however, would depend on how active we can get this sub-area of the forum.
